About Dr. Lisa Monroe

For more than 30 years, I’ve dedicated my career to helping young children and their families learn, grow, and thrive. As both an educator and a parent, I know firsthand that raising children can be equal parts joy and chaos. My own experience raising my now-grown son keeps me grounded in what really matters, perspective, balance, and keeping your priorities in focus.   

I’ve had the privilege of supporting thousands of families through my Early Birds program, a comprehensive birth-to-five parent education series I developed and that is used across multiple communities. I also facilitated Ready4Routines, a parenting workshop featured by the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University.

These experiences have shown me how practical, research-based strategies, combined with clear priorities and a sense of humor, can make family life calmer, more connected, and more joyful.

My background in early childhood education, spanning classroom teaching, parent education, and higher education, helps me translate developmental research into simple, doable tools for real family life. With undergraduate and graduate degrees in Early Childhood Education and a doctorate in Educational Leadership, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work, helping parents feel capable, confident, and connected as they raise resilient children and stay true to their family’s priorities (without losing their sense of humor along the way).
